Pool Tournament Images
These were taken around 9pm tonight, and there were still tons of people down there. I think it goes until midnight. It was great to see something like this take advantage of the RiverCenter, and I hope to see them back every year.
Wow! I had no idea that was even going on! I would have loved to go watch it.
And I'm flabberghasted at the amount of work involved in delivering, assembling, and then leveling those dozens of pool tables, not to mention stringing up lights over each one and all the rest of the work involved. What a herculean job!!
I was kind of thinking that myself. The QC is pretty limited in places to play pool. I think its still going on tonight Dope, definitely today, but I'm not sure what time it gets over.
I know, I was pretty shocked about that. Especially considering that Section 37 of the Operating Policies says
"NO SMOKING POLICY By state law, there is a no smoking policy throughout the facility, including the restrooms."
Hopefully the fact that there isn't much in the way of absorbant materials in there like carpet or ceiling tiles will help the smell dissipate.
Apparently the RiverCenter is desperate enough that they'd change their police (and state law?) for this event. I think the event is a great thing, but don't see why smoking is required to play pool.

They should leave this up and have a tournament every weekend.

Is that a smokey haze I see over the pool tables. How long will it take to get the stink out of the building?
