2 Inches of Rain in 30 minutes

Its crazy out there. The police station apparently had water running into the lobby, cars were stranded, swift water rescue squads were called out, streets are washing away, and power and stoplights are out around town.

Cars that were stranded on Rockingham near Kraft (Oscar Mayer), although I believe the waters had gone down quite a bit by this point.
River Drive at the bottom of Oneida covered with brick -sized pieces of asphalt and concrete.
An 8 foot wide sinkhole or storm sewer blowout at Farnam and Federal.
This debris came out of the hole in the previous picture and washed onto Federal. There were no barricades yet set up despite the rock and gravel being at least 8 inches deep.

Thanks! You're doing better than the news sites!

I think some of them didn't have their A-team of camera operators at work on a Sunday night. Channel 5 did at least call in the anchors, but they spent too much time showing the SkyCam, which they should have called Blurry PointlessCam.

Not to bring up Cobblestone or anything, because we know how much you love JLCS QCI. But, drive down the hill from the project and look at the road. JLCS leadership through the zoning process told the public that the project would deal with the run off issue down the hill. It hasn't. They also told the property owners to the North that the project would fix the alley flooding problem. It hasn't. What's the deal??

Has this been a running issue, or just something from this last storm? I don't think many places are prepared for the kind of rain we got Sunday night. If this has been an ongoing thing, then there's reason for concern. Maybe I'll check it out this week.
