Frink's blog and old McDonalds..es...

I'm late in adding Alderman Frink's blog to my link bar, but its there now. He recently added his reactions to day one of the neighborhood conference that he's currently attending. Hopefully he continues to update his blog this regularly.

Also, while driving past the former McDonalds on Brady Street, which I believe was the site of the first McDs in the QC (a bit before my time) I noticed some construction activity. Now today's QCTimes explains what's going on. Here's the article, and its good news for Brady Street, and Davenport. A local couple is opening a bar and grill, and plans to have an outdoor dining area overlooking Duck Creek. When I saw that the old deck had been torn down, I was disappointed, but it appears there will once again be a place to stop along the bike path and get a burger.

You're apologizing for not adding a link maybe 2 days ago, and a blog that has no content. you are sounding like those alderman at city council meetings who speak ad nauseum just to hear themselves speak. Chris for Office 2007!

Are you saying Alderman Frink's blog has no content? Its brand new, and he's already posted several pieces of information.

You can bet Frink's will be just like Hamerlinck's - it started out great guns, and already Hammerlinck has lost interest.

Hamerlinck's started out a lot less than great, considering he used to go weeks at a time without an update. Over the last month its gotten more often, and you can't blame him for slowing down a little, since he's busy actually being an alderman, instead of just talking about them.

Mr. Frink has a website too, with loads of linked information. QCI missed providing a link to that site, maybe not in think Frink mode all the time.

Nice bit on Old McD's, could work well if the new place does not need that very costly-at-the-time drive-thru lane.
