Hamerlinck Meeting Saturday

I'm sure most of the folks interested in attending already know, but I figured I'd post the info here also. After all, the more participation in politics, the better democracy we have.

2nd Ward Meeting w/ Alderman Hamerlinck
Saturday, May 20th 9:00AM
Fairmount Library (not sure which room, plus it's probably subject to change like last month)

Unfortunately, I'll be in Chicago that day, so I'll be missing out this month. I'm sure some of you will let us know how it goes.

It's the only place where I feel we get the real facts about what's going on issues-wise.

Highly recommended!

I could not agree more. Hamerlinck is the real deal. I hope he runs for Mayor in 07!

Oh right, if he became mayor it would only cost the special interest groups more to buy him and Bill Lynn!

And Niki would demand a recount, thus wasting more city money.

I agree with poster 11:17, Hamerlink is a DORK! If you want the real definition of a dork look it up in the dictionary!

I looked up DORK in the dictionary and it refered me to QCI blog Anonymous 5/17/2006 5:27 PM. Can you imagine that? So I would suggest from now on to sign in as "DORK" or maybe "The Big Dorkster". Oh by the way, Get A Lffe!

It looks like poster 9:44 is getting a little testy!

Good for Shawn!

People sure are worried about him.
Came out of nowhere, worked hard and got one of the best vote percentages in the election.
Then, shock of all shocks, Shawn actually made good on his election promises and worked at dealing with issues that the voters were concerned about. Can that be said for the other newbies Frink, Dumas and Van Fossen?

And then, he becomes more popular and known for his work ethic and honesty. So now all his detractors have as a defense is name calling? Is that all ya got?

"The Big Dorkster"

I'm just guessing, but do you play Dungeons and Dragons, live on Mt. Dew, and own more than one computer?

Hey, cut Van Fossen a little slack, it's just taking him a little longer to get the hang of this aldermanic thing. Plus he just got a new hair do (no more slicked back greaser look) and he's trying to figure out how to pay his delinquest taxes without cutting back too much on his social life, he can only do so much.

He will be hell on wheels once he gets going.

Hamerlink has guts to question DavONe, he is doing fine.

My two cents worth........

Fine job so far to Alderman Hammerlinck.

We need to find more like him.

To the Mayor and the East side boys..... Bye.

I wouldn't count on it. Don't be so smug. I hope you can handle disappointment.

Really intelligent comment 6:46! Sure establishes what kind of uneducated individual you are.

Stay off the blogs because you are just wasting space!

Okay, I get it, If I am not sleeping with Shawn I am not not allowed to participate! I really like the rules. Bill Lynn must be making the rules.
