2 Things

1. Thanks a lot to Blogspot for keeping my blog unavaible nearly all day. It seems like being owned by a huge company like Google would allow for 24/7 support. Or even a support email address...

2. Goodbye to All-Hit 98.9. While listening to some of the stuff on there makes even me feel old, I did occasionally still listen to it. I listened to the last night's broadcast while at work, and it was nice how many people seemed to have stories about it over the last 19 years. Not many other frequencies around here have stayed with one format that long. They ended their broadcast with "American Pie," as it was on February 3rd, the day Buddy Holly was killed. Now I have to find a different station to set my clock-radio to.

What is happening on van Fossen. It has been over a month since he hit the train.

I think he is sad for not listening the the neighbors by Blue port. I have nothing against Blueport, but he never even talked the the residents there. He obvioulsy never listened to what they have been saying all along. He is a disappointment to us all and we all should let him know that.
All those people want is peace and quiet. They were there first, not the bar. I agree that noise until 2 am would drive me batty. I live in central Dav and hear boomer cars all night long. Atleast the residents by BP have a source they can pinpoint for their noise.

Shame on you VanFossen. Shame of the voters. More of the same. Ahh - elections.

I hope I never get a disease and have to rely on the lab that the Iowa Highway Patrol sent Van Fossen's blood alcohol test to for a lab report. I might be dead before they get the testing done.

We have been waiting since approximately the 21st of December for a simple test result that should have been back in a matter of a couple of days, this is a situation that is getting more and more ridiculous by the minute and makes our law enforcement officials look like a bunch of idiots.

Okay, so the people who live by the Blueport were there first, but the area is zoned commercial so that is not a valid argument. Tough beans, baby.

To the 1:22pm blogger...

You don't get it. The test results for VanFossen came back looong ago.. Over .160

Almost everyone in the DPD and westend bars knows. The real question, is why hasn't our DA done anything...

If the test results are back why haven't the crack reporters at the Quad City Times picked up on it? It's hard for me to believe rumors that are floating around bars.

I've heard that VanFossen's blood alcohol was so high that he was brain dead. They had to bring him back to life.

This makes about as much sense as other comments that have been posted on QC blogs.

Well if you ever saw the guy talk, brain dead is a good description...

Other than yes or no the only thing I have heard him say at council meeting was a few sentences about how he was supporting Blueport Junction, probably his favorite watering hole.

Looks like the 1st ward really sent us a dud.

Alderman VanFossen is no dud.

Give the man a chance.

I'm sure he only needs two years to get up to speed.

After that watch out!

Where are all the people who attacked me when I said bad stuff about him before the election? Had a change of heart or just laying low?

Never thought the smuck (hick' up) would get elected.
