It occurs to me that Fly (Rest his fly soul) might not like this, but I'm just saving people the time of clicking "Save As..." 39 times for each of the weeks in the archive. Its possible I'll change my mind and take down my link to the zipped archive at the same time he takes down DDP.
I dunno, I think we owe a lot to Fly. Love him or hate him, he is the "father of Davenport Political Blogging" and now there's multiple blogs and dozens if not hundreds of readers. A year ago if you had said "There aren't enough grocery stores in SoLo" to an alderman, he would have looked at you like you were speaking gibberish. Now, at least among political folks, its somewhat of a common term. Newspapers have archives, council meetings have minutes or even video recordings, why shouldn't the first Davenport Politics blog have a recorded history?
Well, I use Mozilla Firefox instead of IE (See link on the sidebar) and in that you just right click on a webpage and select "Save Page As..." In IE I believe you can go to File, Save As... to do the same thing.
What that does is save not only the html file for the page that you're on, but also all images on that page. That way, when you open up one of the weekly archives, all the headers and various pictures are included. The only downside to this is you get 39 copies of Fly's DDP header image. If it wasn't for that the zip file would have been like 300k.

Thanks QCI! I was wondering how to download all of it in a fast way. How did you do it?

To all the Poitical Folks,
John F. Kennedy was quoted saying.
All American mothers dream of their sons growing up to become President, but none of them want their sons to grow up to be a "POLITICIAN".
Just something from the political archives???
