National Trails Symposium Image

I would say there were a few hundred people there. Most of them are towards the back, around the booths, instead of the "poster gallery" in the foreground.

From conversations that I overheard though, it seemed like most of the people there were out of town folks here for the Symposium, instead of local people taking advantage of the free public day. I don't think it was advertised enough, because they had some neat stuff there.

Being a daily user of the Duck Creek Parkway I absolutely would have made it a point to go to the freebie had I known about it. It was already after 6PM Thursday when I read your mention on this blog. I looked it up on their web site and note that other than during the one freebie, they expected even casual visitors to pay $25 to get in and walk around the hall.

Heard they had more attendees than expected. At least for their dinners...

Maybe it will show conventions that being almost perfectly centered in the country is a good thing for attendance.
