The Brady Street Hill.
The men's and women's winners, Duncan Kibet and Wude Ayalew.
The Race for the Jackpot wasn't even close this year, with Christy Lazaridis easily getting the $3300 prize. The shot on the right is of the post race party, taken from the roof of the Crescent Lofts. The Wells Fargo Street Fest, back in its old location west of Brady.

QCI - has kate called you to tell you not to do a piece on her negligent acts?
Your bias is showing.
YOu will pass judgement on others, but not the beloved BSer kate Ridge. JLCS is great remember? They are not the problem - remember?
No one seems to know any hard facts at this point, so anything would be a rumor thread.
You people that think I'm in love with JLCS just because I don't despise them or think they're the root of all evil have always been fooling yourselves anyway.
It's too bad that the music festival for Bix isn't as popular as the race. Guess the area is just known for blues beer fest.
anon 6:25 - I tend to think talking about the same subject on all the different blogs is too repetitive. The subject was already on mine and Cruiser's (and solo?). Besides, the story just hit yesterday and it was a pretty busy day for those who wanted to be out having a fun day.
QCI - great pics! I'm very jealous of your vantage points!
way to hijack a thread anon 6:25
the bix race not only one of the few (two?) sporting events that bring in people from around the region to the qca but the biggest thing to hit downtown davenport (the festival of trees probably doesnt attract people to the downtown businesses as much as the race) all year.
but i guess it cant be a thread about davenport without negative non sequitur.
The Blues fest may be a bigger draw overall, because it draws more locals. But I think the Bix fest draws people from farther away.
