No idea...
As far as the police union delaying the new police station they've been waiting decades for over parking? I really hope there's more to it than having to park too far away during construction.

My guess is that union contract negotiations are not going as they would like so this is a tactic try and gain something there. If not, and come to think of it is, it's pretty rediculous. Everyone knew that parking was going to be disrupted from the beginning and to throw a bitch on at the last minute is childish. It's sad to see our heros acting like this.

Another fine example of in-house petty politics that obscures any degree of professionalism the department achieves.
Most of those guys could use an extra walk each day - might help lower taxpayer health costs.
