I believe QCI does have a life. He is one of the up and coming movers and shakers in the QCA. He is tapped into local goings-on and is living in one of the hippest places in Davenport.
I think he means a non-nerdy life, which I also somewhat have. I admit to being a downtown & development nerd though. So did most of the 20 or so mostly young people who got together last night in Des Moines.
Too many candidates dilute the vote. The consequence of such a crowded primary field makes it difficult to hear all of the voice. The chance to loose some very good candidates in the clutter is real.
Another crowded field in the 3rd and you may end up with Alderman Meyer again.
I don't really feel like any of the others could have beat Meyer in the general election. Talandis seems decent, but maybe I'm just biased because he has excellent taste in apartment complexes. He needed to live in Davenport for longer to have much of a chance though.
Even if the 3rd ward primary would have had 1000 candidates, Keith would have been selected. From day one, Keith promised to give it his all, and he has done that since the election. He has and will continue to serve and protect the taxdollars and taxpayers of Davenport.

Better send that to Leno. . .
I definitely need a better job, but I actually like working 3rd shift. It allows me to follow city/downtown stuff during the day.
Get a life QCI.

Hye QCI, are you running for office in the 3rd ward? Perhaps you should think about it. Yours schedule would be a good fit. 3rd shift.
I doubt it.
Only takes 17 signatures to get on the ballot though I think. Maybe we'll have another 10 person 3rd ward primary.
