You are invited to attend my "all wards" meeting from 6:30-8 pm, Tues. Jan. 30th, at the Fairmount Library (3000 N. Fairmount) in the 2nd Ward. The meeting will be open to citizens from throughout the community and will center on recent council items and any other interest from the public. I will be joined by Ald. Thanks for the update! It fell off my calendar.
Did anyone go to this? I would love to know how much crap was spewed at this one.
Also, for anyone who attended, how many people showed up other than Davenport Staff people. Hammerlinks ward meeting attendance has really dropped off, as people have figured out what a showboater he is. He always says to call hime, but it's just voice mail, and no return call. Email response from him is the same deal.
Here's a post about it from Dave.
Thanks to 'Dave' for the report on the meeting.
At two meetings, Hamerlink said he was going to be at the all wards meeting. I didn't see anything in Dave's report that the Hammer was there. It was no surprise that Keith was there, and was well prepared and had alot to say. The 2nd ward would trade Keith anytime for Shawn.
Do you mean the 2nd ward would trade Hammer for Keith?
Otr that the 3rd ward woudl trade Keiht for Hammer?
I had a couple of serious issues in the 2nd ward and Shauwn got them resolved immediately. He also looked out for the entire ward when Pedcor tried to set up business in the 2nd ward. The Hammer is still doing more for the tax payers and citizens then most of the the elected positions.
To 10:59, Your Hammer is a bobblehead! As soon as the going gets tough, The Hammer retracts. For instance, Pedcore, early on he was for all development proposed for his ward. He stated that his ward has been neglected by developers and he would welcome any and all development. Hammerlinck even stated at the council meeting that he supported Pedcor. As soon as those slumlords and home owners started opposition, he changed his mind like flipping a switch. He is scrambling to find support from his ward for re-election. Remember, he is the reason that slumlords are running this town and ruining your neighborhoods due to the lack of enforcement. He is,along with Billy Lynn, a big supporter of the QCRPA and the slumlords that run it.
Actually, the Pedcor project is and was a terrible one for this city no matter where it is developed. Hammer did the right thing for his ward and he voted with the people. That is a good thing as opposed to Frink and Howard who were and area in favor of any kind of development.
Shawn must think that nobody notices when he doesn't show up for these meetings. We do. And we are keeping score.
The "we" is one person on this blog. The rest of the residents support Hammerlinck.
