The Wells Fargo building reflected in the Figge.
I didn't think there were any festivals in Davenport this weekend, so I couldn't figure out why downtown was packed. I asked one of the VIPS (Volunteers In Police Service) patrolling the Skybridge, who let me know that Palmer's Homecoming party was down on the levy.
Apparently the chiropractic extravaganza had spread to 3rd street, where a stage was set up between the bars down there.

Palmer and Ambrose always seems to attract a good crowd. I always thought a focus of investment/incentives/planning in the area between the campuses would be provide results.
You missed out on taking the pics of 822 Gaines QCI. The QCTimes did a feature on it in today's paper, with pics of inside and outside the building. Months ago, you said you were going to cover this amazing story of bringing an abandoned crapper back to life, but once again, you let the QCTimes get ahead of you.
QCI,
You didn't know about these events???
The passage of the permits for the street closings and outdoor liquor, is the reason the city council had to meet last week in special session, after the fab 4(3) walked out of the regularly scheduled meeting week before last! Leaving the peoples business on the table!
How much did that cost the taxpayers?
You guys must be confusing me with the paid mainstream media...
I can't be everywhere, cover everything, and hear about everything. I do have a job and other hobbies than blogging.
And 1:50, how much did what cost taxpayers? The special meeting? I'd assume just the cost of the clerk to record the minutes?
The stage was set up for the band Bad Company although it wasn't really Bad Company it was Bad Company featuring Brian Howe which wasn't really all that bad.
Does anyone know if its true that they were spouting off random racist and sexist remarks during the concert?
