Cheaters win sometimes

Historic East Davenport home coming down -QCTimes

Get denied for a demolition permit for a historic home you should never have bought? Simply damage the structure until you can argue there's no reason to save it anymore.

Get flak from the neighbors for trying to destroy the integrity of their neighborhood? Graffiti your own house to spite them and push the city into caving.

Its seems to me that we've sent a clear message with this whole thing that all you have to do to beat City Hall is act as though none of the rules apply to you.

I won't be eating at the Precinct until its under new ownership someday.

Amen brother. Also, Wisor has been less than cordial with Dorothy Cunnick who owns the pocket park at the corner of Mound and 11th. He won't let her use the water and has tried to bully her into selling it to him. So she started bringing her own water to the park for the plants. She won't budge and she has provided for its perpetual care in her will. Ha! Screw him!

QCI,
I agree, and suprised the boycott idea didn't start sooner. Hopefully his new redevelopment goal will meet the same fate as Nikky Bowles Eastern Avenue pig farm. Which bank took that back??

Time to take it public.

The Precinct is a breath of fresh air for the Village. Ever since he re-modeled that bar the Village is now getting a lot more business. I say kudos to him for standing up for what he believes in and modernizing the decaying Village area.

Alderman Meyer was right, but Image will never admit it.

Haven't eaten there, won't eat there until Wisor sells and is gone. I get my tenderloins at the Fire House now at Five Points.

I've gone in there with groups on two separate Saturday nights, and it seems like he's not hurting for RI District-type business on the weekends. The Village has really been split into the daytime village, which is struggling somewhat, and the nighttime District-style Village, which seems to be doing fine. However, only one of those 2 bring in tourists, and its not the drunk frat-boy venues...

I will go to the Village, just not to the Precinct.

Something tells me this isn't the end with this guy, either. Now that he got his way, he'll have to move on to something else to get his source of conflict he seems to enjoy. I don't see him lasting in the long run. There are definitely some huge differences, but maybe there are some similarities to the whole Niki Bowles situation, too.

Wow! - You know you are lower than pond scum when you are compared to Niki Bowles.

Don't forget Habitat for Humanity. Tore down the old house in the 300 block of E 15th and put up a modern, more energy efficiant home. Why did they not rebuild the orginal house? Who cares if it cost more? Where was the outrage?

I didn't know that Wisor was also the owner of 11th St. Precinct, I'll have to stop in there more often and congratulate him on sticking it to the central planning commies.
