Snow Day Open Thread

I point to the East/West running Mississippi river for the QC's uncanny ability to dodge the brunt of "death storm" every time one heads our way.

Seriously, folks. It has to have SOMETHING to do with it. I've never lived anywhere else where giant storms suddenly turn another direction just as the reach the area.

I call it the "Quad-Cities Weather Bubble". Not sure if it's the river or what, but it certainly seems to be an actual phenomena - winter or summer.

I guess Terry Swails had better figure out a scientific explanation for his next book.

Always heard the same thing. Only things that sucks is that the snow is the heavy wet stuff.
