Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center
I was on a rare trip to Bettendorf to buy a ticket for the John Douglas presentation, and stopped to take a couple pictures of the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center. I've heard its quite nice inside, but I haven't been yet. It is definitely better than some of the other recent developments in "downtown" Bettendorf, such as the strip mall next door, or the new Hardees. While its not exactly on the waterfront, its not a bad name either. Hopefully I'll be able to get some interior images on the 30th.

Imagine someone coming from out of the area to the Waterfront Convention Center and finding out its not. Can they sue. What a joke.
The Bettendorf Events Center would look good in Downtown Davenport. The difference would be the homeless, prostitutes, and crack dealers hanging around on the sidewalk.
the STARSHIP banner actually made me chuckle out loud a bit.
Yes, the STARSHIP banner (no Grace Slick!) is more of a falsehood than the name Waterfront.

You don't have a clue what happened with Great River Brewery//
What?
Nice article in the Quad City Times on the Great River Brewery. I have been watching the interior work each time I drove by. I am anxious to give it a try.
A nice addition to Front Street, Blue Cat and Bent River. Should be enough to go around especially with Great River’s emphasis on wholesale.
I haven’t heard any negatives, seems well received all-around.
