Open Thread

Here are a few of the posts I'd like to write in the next few days. I've started on a few of them already.
  • Yerington
  • The East Village porch "controversy"
  • Photos from around town
  • Downtown residents' meeting on Monday
  • New downtown signage?
  • Skybridge silliness
  • And, of course... whatever else pops up
Until I get some more written though, I've gotta call this an Open Thread.

  2. The East Village Porch "controversy"

Is this in lieu of the pocket park controversy? Is there controversy?

Forget the pushpin on the riverfront.
Someone needs to make a REALLY big hand basket for davenport.

  4. Lynn said “I’m still 90 percent sure I’m running.” Why to go Billy Gene!

  5. yerington says he wants to end the infighting in city hall... does anyone remember his antics when he was mayor? after his stunts at the pd i am loath to believe he has really matured

  6. I think Yerington is the best candidate so far to announce for mayor. Gluba is a professional politician.

  7. OMG, with Yerington as mayor, I think the circus at city hall would go to the next level. He wasn't much of a leader last time he was mayor. Who gave us Malin? Poor choice for our mayor folks!

  8. If Gluba (a realtor) is a professional politician what does that make Yerington? Besides an unprofessional politician...

  10. There is a controversy between the owner of the porch and the pocket park in the East Village - legel papers have been served. The new owener of the porch has made it clear to many that he will do whatever it takes to make the owners of the park life miserable since they would not sell it to him for a beer garden. The city has turned their back on these people who have been long supporters to the community to give the new guy what he wants.

  11. Where are you getting this information?

  12. When the owner of the porch was having his outburst he should have looked around to see who was standing at the door of Isabel Bloom. Does not make for a good neighbor. There is more, but this is not the forum. After all I want to remain a good neighbor.
