Where in the QC is this? #11

Edit: I'm moving this back to the top because no one has gotten it yet.

Clue #1: This place is in Davenport.

Clue#2: You've hopefully only driven by it in one direction, and its near a building being renovated, overlooking something else that's newly changed.

This is a rare weekend where I didn't have a bunch of stuff to attend or take care of, so you folks will have to excuse my relative lack of posts. I was going to be lazy tonight and post an open thread, but instead I'll be nearly as lazy and post a "Where in the QC is this?."

  2. QCI ... what do you know about a group called Communities United Resource Center? Last week they had left a brochure rubberbanded to my door handle. The address on the brochure is for 2850 Eastern Avenue. Their quote on the front of the handout is "Strengthening Davenport's families by focusing on the issues that affect us every day". Who are the members?

    If anyone knows, it's you.

    Thanks!

  3. To 9:30 PM, here's a link to their site. I don't really know anything about them, but I'll check into it.

  13. I would almost guarantee that all of you have seen the building this is on.

  14. It's the building owned by JLCS. (That gives me a 50% chance of a correct answer, as John Lewis owns half the buildings downtown.)

  19. Finally, we have a winner.

The Democrat building is actually 407 Brady, so I guess 1 and a half winners. Who knows, they're all anonymous anyway.

  20. QCI,
I really enjoy your "Where in the QC, etc". It makes us all more observant!

  21. The door below your [Where in the QC is this?] says 411 Brady. Just wondering where you got 407 from?

  22. Be it so, the door still says 411. Go take a look for yourself! Must be a FU?

  23. Yeah, who knows. Either its changed at some point over the years, or maybe someone read it to someone over the phone and they heard 7 instead of 11.
