I'm bummed I missed BB King, I had a damn wedding! It's good to see too that despite a certain someone's best efforts, the public didn't buy the B.S. about the downtown Farmers Market deal, and it's not only alive, but thriving this year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12726606.post-2145988718653192472008-06-02T14:35:00.000-05:002008-06-02T14:35:00.000-05:00If the weather was anything like it was out west, ...If the weather was anything like it was out west, I can see why. After dodging tornado warnings on the way over Thursday, the weather was as perfect as it gets in the Midwest for the rest of my trip.QuadCityImageshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07503485646277987317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12726606.post-39880267887814772262008-06-02T12:57:00.000-05:002008-06-02T12:57:00.000-05:00my wife and i hit up the farmer's market saturday ...my wife and i hit up the farmer's market saturday at about 9:30am. holy crap was it packed. i'm no expert at estimating crowd numbers, but i'd guess there may have easily been over 500 people there by the time we showed up. the lot at modern woodman park was so full by that time that we had to park at the last spot on one of the rows. people were even parking in the ice arena building's lot.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10640071593903513572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12726606.post-76789474690442341302008-06-02T12:14:00.000-05:002008-06-02T12:14:00.000-05:00QCI - you missed a big night for downtown on Satur...QCI - you missed a big night for downtown on Saturday. There were 5,310 at the Bandits game that night. Penguin's seemed to be packed at the Freight House, and there was also the B.B. King concert at the Adler. I didn't see a write up on it to know how that went. There were also 4,100 at the Bandits game on Friday night, too. Attendance seems to be doing much better than last year.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04500785397409493914noreply@blogger.com
